COOL FACES OF BASTET NOIR: Meet Aydha Mehnaz, Celebrity and Media Manager at Mugler

It is often said that success is a journey, not a destination. Working under pressure can be stressful, but it can also be an opportunity to push yourself to new limits and achieve great things. Whether you’re a writer, designer, engineer, or anything in between, meeting a tight deadline requires discipline, focus, and determination. It can be tempting to cut corners or rush through your work, but taking the time to do things right can ultimately save time and produce better results. Who is Aydha Mehnaz?

Passionate, Persistent and sometimes an absolute idiot.

What’s your morning routine like?

Morning usually starts at 6 AM with prayers and kettlebell swings. Then I catch up on my personal emails while drinking my morning bone broth. By 9–9:30 I am headed to work while picking up a croissant and espresso on the way.

You manage Celebrity and Media at one of the hottest luxury brands of today. What would you say is the most challenging aspect of the job, and the most rewarding?

The most challenging part of the job would be working with changing deadlines. Artists often have packed schedules, the time is of the essence when it comes to certain (most) projects.

Most rewarding part would be the satisfaction of seeing a music video or a concert where the artist is wearing the custom look where you can see hours and often months of team work coming to life, it’s magical.

Your path to fashion is quite a unique one, as you’ve studied biochemistry and biotechnology, you ultimately went on to get a masters degree in Luxury brand management, which we’re sure came with its own set of doubts. How did this period of change look like for you?

Change is always scary and uncertain, because you are leaving your comfort zone to do something wild. I still haven’t ‘made it’ yet- there is still long way to go if we want to change the world.

Three things you wish you knew before starting out?

Not everyone will understand and share your pov.

Credibility and honor takes a lifetime to build.

Making friends isn’t as easy as it might seem.

Biggest setback in life and what you’ve learned from it?

Setbacks with actually opportunities to spring back up. Learn how to trust your instincts.
