THE COOL FACES OF BASTET NOIR:Meet Gabriella Piccolo, fashion stylist
Daniela Milosheska
To capture the essence and the allure of an Italian woman is often a difficult task to do. These women are wild spirits. They run free, live recklessly and love passionately. Their illusive nature is both attractive and dangerous so perhaps that’s why their attraction is so damn magnetic. It draws you in, pulls you deep, mostly because you’re curious to find out what makes them so special. Now when you add on top of this undeniable Italian charm, a witty English sense of humor your mission to portray the woman in question becomes almost impossible. Nevertheless, I’ll try. Although I’m not sure I’ll do her justice.
Gabriella Piccolo is a 28 year old premium Menswear Fashion Stylist and creative currently living in Manchester. Her impressive career started as a design intern for eminent fashion houses like Alexander McQueenand L’Wren Scott and continued as a fashion creative for Topshop. Her work had been shortlisted by London College of Fashion and Unilever to participate in a high-profile event, celebrating 50 years of Unilever’s brands. In addition to that she won the Graduate ASOS Marketplace and Clothes Show Live Competition back in 2015. As if this wasn’t enough, this incredible woman today runs an Instagram account that is filled with visual imagery that is not only thought provoking and mentally stimulating, but every picture seems to have her own DNA signature ingrained within. And since all those photos tell the story of Gabriella Piccolo, we asked her to transcend her raw Italian charm into Bastet Noir’s pieces for the latest edition of Cool Faces of Bastet Noir and the result is one badass, flawlessly styled photoshoot on the beaches of Tropea, Italy. Enjoy!

What’s your usual routine before styling a photoshoot? Where do you get your inspiration from?
Before styling a photoshoot I like to gather inspiration and create a moodboard for the shoot. I like to pull complimentary colours together when choosing my outfits. Pinterest is great for creating boards before a photoshoot.
What’s your personal favorite styling project you’ve worked on?
Personal favourite would have to be the ‘Orange Juice’ shoot for Hypebeast and styling my Papi for Diadora in Italy.
Instagram or Pinterest?
That is a tough one I love Pinterest, but I use Instagram more.
Favorite Insta faces
My favourite Insta face has to be Emily Ratajkowski, I am obsessed with her.
Things you can’t live without…
I can’t live without my plants, sunshine, Italian home cooking and my family.
