Bastet Noir is a clothing label that produces its garments locally & provides fair wages for its workers. We work with a community of women single parents whose monthly income would be less than $300 monthly, so our ethos revolves around making sure these women get paid fairly so they can support their families and keep their businesses open. Bastet Noir also uses discarded materials i.e. deadstock materials and has a made-to-measure production model that ensures zero inventory & no unnecessary waste of materials & resources.   

 

In july 2020, we've set up a fund to help our small community of women single parents battle pandemic's catastrophic consequences. The way we structured this fund will help these women navigate the everyday challenges and grow their businesses during these uncertain times.


The way it works is through tips. When you reach checkout you'll be given an option to leave a tip on our website, which will then go straight to this fund. At the end of the month the entire amount you donate will go directly to the woman owned studio that made your item.

In December 2020, we made the decision to start using the Offset App. We want to make sure our shipping emissions are carbon neutral. As a sustainable brand, we're always supporting environmentally friendly initiatives, so at the end of each month, a percentage of our sales will go directly towards supporting forest protection initiatives. Thanks to this app we'll be able to share with all of you, our monthly offset cost which includes the total amount of the shipping emissions we've offset and the environmental impact benefit of those offsets, including how many trees we've paid to protect. 

It is our belief that the old standardized metric system serves no one, because each and every body is different. As we're here to defy every rule imposed by the fast fashion industry, every item we make is made-to-order, according to our client's measurements. When purchasing a custom item, add the item of choice in your cart and in the Add Order Note section above the Checkout button write in your measurements and any other customization that you might require.   

Non-customized items may be returned within 5 days of the delivery date for a full refund (without the shipping rate) or store credit. Please note that after 5 days, we will no longer accept returns.

All items should be packed in a flyer and must contain all of Bastet Noir tags on them, accompanied by a document that says that they are returned goods. Otherwise the items will be held at the customs and we are not responsible for the expenses that might arise from that. Please contact us before shipping the item back, so we can provide you with the return address.

Please note that since we work with a local community of women single parents and women micro entrepreneurs and we have a NO WASTE policy, all refunds are subjected to a 30$ restocking fee. The reason for this is because we want to build a sustainable brand that will pay fairly all of our production partners. Refunds include only the price of the item, without the shipping cost and the restocking fee and are processed after 10-15 business days of receiving the item back. Please note that you're also responsible for covering the cost of shipping, should you wish to return the purchased item.

Customized items can not be returned, since they are tailor made, according to your own measurements. "Customized” means additional design changes have been made to alter the original style of the garment. This includes personal tailoring according to measurements like bust, waist and hips, color changes and design details like shorter sleeves, shorter hem, etc...

However, we do offer free alterations, so please contact us at info@bastetnoir.com, if you want to opt for this option. Please note that should you decide to go with this option, shipping costs in both ways should be covered by you.

We ship internationally worldwide. Once your order has been verified and the payment method is approved, you will receive an email from Bastet Noir's customer service manager confirming your order. The delivery will then arrive according to the below:

  • Macedonia - Orders will arrive within 1-3 business days**
  • The rest of the world (Express Shipment) - At the moment we only offer express shipping. Orders will arrive within 3-5 business days** (not counting the days for production on custom made orders)

Bastet Noir has partnered with DHL Express for all deliveries. A representative from your local DHL will contact you to arrange the delivery at your convenience.

If your order has not arrived by the estimated delivery date, we're here to help. Before getting in contact with us, try:

  • Checking the tracking link via your confirmation email to view the up to date tracking. Signing into My Account to check we have the correct delivery address for your order and your contact details are up to date 
  • Checking if you have a text message, email or attempted delivery card from one of our carriers. Your parcel may be awaiting collection at a local Post Office or delivery depot, or you may need to arrange redelivery. 
  • If you still can't find your parcel, please email us using the contact us form and quote your order number. We'll reply within four hours and do our best to locate your parcel straightaway. If it cannot be found, we will arrange a replacement or refund for you. 

We encourage you to read our Size chart in detail prior to completing a purchase. Should you receive an item that does not fit you, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. If the size you are looking for is not available we will provide you with a credit voucher that can be used at Bastet Noir within 6 months. Please note items can only be exchanged within 5 days of receiving them.

All items should be returned new, unused, and with all Bastet Noir tags still attached. Items should be placed in the original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit.

If a returned item shows any signs of use, has been washed, worn, or is not provided back with the original packaging, the item will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer.

Please note that we are only able to offer size exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for an alternative style, we suggest that you return it for a store credit and purchase the new piece separately.
